WHAT: "Joy Unshaken: Queer Youth Rising in Times of Distress" Art Exhibition
-artwork created by Youth in the Kent community and surrounding areas
-paintings, visual art with poetry, collages/photo collages, 3D art, and photography
WHEN: Saturday, September, 27, 2025 7-9pm. Opening Reception.
-Exhibit up through October 19th.
-Closing Reception and Open Mic, Saturday, October 18th, 7-9pm
-Refreshments served.

Gender and Sexualities Alliance Art Statement
-Joy Unshaken: Queer Youth in Times of Distress highlights the resilience and creativity of local LGBTQ+ youth. Through art, they bear witness to struggle while affirming joy, identity, and community as acts of resistance and hope.
-Even in times of distress, queer youth hold onto joy. This exhibit is a reminder that creativity can be both a lifeline and a celebration—an unshaken declaration of who they are and the futures they imagine.
