PLOT:
“The Mystery Murder: Who Killed The Billionaire?” begins in the mansion of Saylor Twift, where there is a celebration for Detective Carly, who has solved one of the greatest murders of the 21stcentury.
But did the girlfriend of the billionaire, Sasha Bethel, actually commit the crime? Alas, she is found not guilty by reason of insanity. So, who did this awful deed and why?
Was it Tyler Table, a surfer, who recently escaped from the Westhaven Psychiatric Hospital? Or was it Manley Stanley, the personal chef of billionaire Sam Hanson, who hasn't been paid by his boss in over 1 ½ years?
Or could it be Saylor Twift and her boyfriend Travis Belchie, who live next to the billionaire and were seen with ketchup colored paintbrushes running from the scene at the time of the crime. Or was Captain Selah, the Chief of Police for Westhaven, who previously was an insurance agent for the Sam Hanson?
These are just afew of the suspects in this harrowing mystery, written by the member sof The New World Children's Theatre.
To find out whodunnit, join us at the African Community Theatre, Oscar Richie Hall, Kent State University, ”opening Friday, May 17, 2024.7:30pm.
ABOUT THE NEW WORLD CHILDREN'S THEATRE
The New World Children’s Theater began as The New World Puppet Theater at the North Water Street Gallery in Kent, Ohio, in January of 1993. Originally, it was comprised of home-school children. Throughout the years , however, it has grown to include public-schooled children as well. Eventually, the troupe outgrew the puppets and the ensemble became The New World Children’s Theater, which has produced 37 plays since 1994. In addition to the emphasis on original playwriting, the company is dedicated to using recycled materials in the construction of its sets and props. This fosters an understanding of a sustainable planet as well as an understanding of how to work with limited resources. The only requirement is a creative mind.
The New World Children’s Theatre is always looking for donations to support students from low income families as well as our ongoing activities. Donations are tax deductible and can be made to Standing Rock Cultural Arts, 300 N. Water St., Suite H., Kent, Ohio 44240.
Thank you for supporting the kids.
