The first one took place on Earth Day 2007 and included 25 short and feature length films, a solar power trailer to power the projector and sound, 15 displays of businesses and organizations related to sustainability, children's activities, music, and catered food using local ingredients. Our website was created to offer a year round forum for ideas about sustainable living.

There are four main ideas presented at the event:

1. Alternative Energy
2. Sustainable Agriculture
3. Conservation
4. Multi-Media Environmental Education (Films, Music, Dance, etc.)

We appreciate the many businesses and organizations doing work to help protect and promote the beauty of mama earth. We feel this festival is a unique and rewarding celebration of those green efforts around the world and in our local community and would like to extend the opportunity to donate cash or goods in exchange for sponsorship of the festival.

-We estimate an audience of between 1000 and 2000 children and adults.

-The event will be promoted heavily throughout northeast Ohio by Email List Serves, Facebook, Newspaper Ads including Akron Life and Leisure Magazine, EcoWatch, WVIZ TV, WKSU, WNIR, The Central Portage County Visitors Bureau, Portage County Events Website, and in Radio Public Service Announcements.

In-Kind Donations such as solar panels or deep cycle batteries, bicycle accessories, marketing and publicity materials, and LED bulbs are accepted and appreciated as well.
