We believe our art and educational activities are contributing to the
revitalization of downtown Kent and we hope everyone is able to see the
value of our programs, culturally, educationally, and economically. The
majority of our programming is designed for the whole family to enjoy
and seeks to celebrate the wealth of creative talent we have in the area.

Programs planned for 2008 include:

1. New World Children's Theatre: Begins January 12. Performances May
17-19 at Kent Stage

2. Standing Rock International Short Film Festival: January 25, 2008
at Kent Stage.

3. Battle of Standing Rock III Music Competition: Finals at Kent
Stage, April 11.

4. Who's Your Mama? Earth Day and Environmental Film Festival, April 16-20.

5. Monthly Art Exhibitions at The North Water Street Gallery. 257 N.
Water St., Downtown Kent.

6. Monthly Poetry Readings with Maj Ragain at The North Water Street
Gallery.

7. Downtown Innovative Community Events (D.I.C.E.). Ice Carving,
Sidewalk Cinema, An Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social, and Cider Festival
occurring throughout the year at The Home Savings Plaza in Downtown Kent.
